Ira Sutedja, CTC, CPDT-KA
Ira Sutedja was recruited to join Fetch Worthy’s private puppy and family dog training program in the Northwest Hills and Westlake areas. She also teaches puppy classes in Northwest Hills, Austin, and has been dedicated to dog training since 2008. Her journey began in 2005 when she trained under Dr. Ian Dunbar’s renowned Sirius Puppy curriculum, the originator of puppy classes as we know them today. Furthering her expertise, Ira studied with Dr. Jean Donaldson and earned her Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC). Shortly after, she earned her Certification for Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence. She has also studied under renowned experts such as Ken Ramirez and Dr. Susan Friedmanand continues to deepen her knowledge through ongoing education.
Ira specializes in puppy socialization, obedience training, and behavioral challenges, including fearfulness and reactivity. Her training is rooted in the science of behavioral analysis —using the principles of learning without the use of fear, intimidation, or electronic collars. She is seriously committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
Beyond dogs, Ira’s training experience spans species—from dolphins to donkeys, goats, and even chickens. This diverse background enhanced her observation skills and understanding of animal training. Clear communication, environment, and positive reinforcement with every species is the universal language for behavioral change.
Shelly founded Fetch Worthy is a graduate of the prestigious Victoria Stilwell Academy, the in-person track, where she spent countless hours earning her certification as a qualified professional dog trainer (VSA-CDT), Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP), certified AKC Evaluator, and Professional member of the Pet Professional Guild(PPG). She is a puppy’s dream teacher and trainer, with a passion for a strong foundation that sets them up for success; puppy training is part science and art, and she understands the puppy from their perspective.
